  1. Neutropenic Sepsis video

  2. Hi Matt
Recently been involved in neutropenic audit looking at time lines and ways to ensure that patients get antibiotics on time. Would be interested if you willing to share information.

No problem at all, my work e-mail address is Matthew.Fowler@uhb.nhs.uk

  3. just watched the neutropeania video and found it to be very informative and clearly explained. a good video to show staff who deal with palliative patients going through chemotherapy treatment.

  4. Very informative video. It should be mandatory viewing for all Emergency staff. The importance of timely assessment and treatment of neutropaenic sepsis can't be underestimated. Well done.

  5. I thought the vidio highlighted the consequences of not acting appropriately when a patient is diagnosed with neutropenic sepsis. Most nurses are unaware that Neutrophils are essentially programmed killer cells, and that as a consequence the excisting circulating neutrophils have a short life span of about 3-5 days. If the body needs to produce more of these cells because of infection the bone marrow is unable to respond. I think this point should be mentioned in the vidio.

  6. I am just starting out in my career in cancer nursing and I watched this video today during my chemo course i thought that it did help me understand how quick neutropenic sepsis can kill someone if not treated.

Very informative video I work at a hospice and we are seeing more and more patients coming to us for symptom control who can be only days post chemo treatment. Important that in pallitive care we bear in mind that a acute illness maybe treatment related and not due to diease.

  7. Hi, and thankyou again for sharing this great tool (video) on Neutopenic Sepsis, the acronym HEAT was fantastic and l will pass this on to other nurses & students.
