I thought the vidio highlighted the consequences of not acting appropriately when a patient is diagnosed with neutropenic sepsis. Most nurses are unaware that Neutrophils are essentially programmed killer cells, and that as a consequence the excisting circulating neutrophils have a short life span of about 3-5 days. If the body needs to produce more of these cells because of infection the bone marrow is unable to respond. I think this point should be mentioned in the vidio.
